ClearCarbon was founded in March of 2007 as the first full service carbon specialty firm in North America. CEO and Founder Kyle Tanger brought together top experts from government, industry, academia, information management, and professional services to create the new hub for carbon knowledge and action.

In short, no other organization has a deeper understanding of where business and carbon intersect or a staff so fully dedicated to carbon issues.

We see carbon as a lens for effective energy use, cost savings, and reduced environmental impacts. ClearCarbon has a proven record of creating greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories that are globally recognized for quality and have helped countless clients adopt strategies that are relevant to their businesses – both now and in the future.

To reduce our own corporate GHG footprint, we pay for our employees to take public transportation to work, have recycled office furniture and bamboo floors, use ENERGY STAR-rated appliances, and are working with our landlord to improve energy efficiency throughout our building. We also promote sustainability in our community, and many of our staff members are active with local charities and environmental groups.
